Year 1 visited London Zoo on Thursday.  We had such a wonderful time. When we arrived, they told us to look out for some new arrivals at the zoo.  First, we had our lunch at the Penguin Pool and whilst we ate we were able to watch the playful penguins swimming in their pool. After that, we made our way to the Butterfly house and had a close encounter with some beautiful butterflies. Then we visited the Land of the Lions and here we caught the first sightings of three new lion cubs.  They were beautiful and stayed close to their mother. She made sure her cubs did not wander far off.  The most exciting thing to see was the new baby gorillas. One mother was cuddling her baby and kissing it and the other mother's baby was hanging onto her arm as she moved through the enclosure. Lastly, we were so excited to see the tigers who were having an afternoon nap out of the sun. It was so much fun!
