Headteacher's Welcome
On behalf of all our pupils, staff and Governors, I would like to welcome you and your family to Charville Academy. We are proud of our children and large team of staff who are all highly committed to the education, safeguarding and welfare of all the children.
At Charville we provide a broad, challenging and innovative curriculum which provides all children with the opportunity to develop academically, spiritually and socially. We work hard to make Charville an inviting school and provide an exciting learning environment. All pupils, parents and staff are encouraged to take an active role in school life and follow our Values-based approach to education.
Charville is a good school and Ofsted (2017) praised our ambition and high expectations. Our priority is to continue to ensure that all children achieve the highest standards and make good progress in all areas of the curriculum. Our Values-based approach provides all children with core values that are embedded in both their learning and behaviour.
At Charville we provide a wide range of opportunities for the children to take part in exciting trips, visits and cultural experiences. Furthermore, we actively promote wellbeing through the arts and physical activities.
Ofsted 2017 stated:
Leaders have put into place a robust system to track pupils’ progress in reading, writing and mathematics, based on pupils’ starting points, milestones in the national curriculum and key groups of pupils. They regularly identify the strengths, weaknesses and next steps and put into place effective actions to improve outcomes for pupils.
