Pupil Admission Numbers (PAN)

Charville Academy Admissions Arrangements - for Reception 2023-2024

As set out in the School Admissions Code, Admission authorities must set (‘determine’) admission arrangements annually. Where changes are proposed to admission arrangements, the admission authority must first publicly consult on those arrangements. Consultation must be for a minimum of 6 weeks and must take place between 1st October and 31st January of the school year before those arrangements are to apply.

Charville Academy is the admissions authority and will be consulting for 6 weeks from 17 December 2021 until 28 January 2022 (Midday) on changes to the admission criteria to be implemented for admission from September 2023.

You can access the proposed Admission Arrangements for Charville Academy for 2023/2024 which is located on this page.

Summary of proposed changes:

Reduction of Published Admissions Numbers

All academy schools have a published admissions number in accordance with the School Admissions Code 2021. This is the number of school places that the admission authority must offer in each relevant age group of a school for which it is the admission authority.

Charville Academy is consulting to reduce the Published Admission Number from 90 to 60.
