Voice of The Students
We actively promote the children of Charville being involved in school life as much as possible and value their views and input. At Charville, our pupils have opportunities to represent their fellow pupils and our school in a variety of ways.
House Captains
These are members of Year 6, and they are selected in the Summer term of Year 5 and are then involved in key events throughout the year, such as fund-raising events including the MacMillan Coffee Morning and Children in Need; they also support with Sports Day and showing visitors around the school.
School Council
Our School Councillors are the voice of our pupils. Their roles are very important to ensure our pupils can express their thoughts and views within the ethos of their wider school. They are role models for their fellow peers, and will always demonstrate the values of the school. Their roles benefit the whole school, allowing opportunities for pupils to communicate in the most direct way.
During the meetings they have a clear agenda about school issues and the minutes are then issued to all members of staff who are invited to respond to their ideas and comments.
Each Councillor is responsible for expressing not just their own views but the views of all the other pupils they represent. Councillors will have regular meetings with identified staff for open discussions.
